Bad Plastic Bottles...

While I was out shopping today I decided to pick up some new bowls and cups. It seems we just don't have enough or they come up missing all the time. As we were looking at them my husband mentioned the news about plastic bottles containing bisphenol A (BPA) which can cause cancer. So we looked at the bottom of each dish to see if the number "7" was indicated. None of them had the number 7 so we went on our merry way with new cups and bowls.

After we get home I decide to look more into this "health scare" to see if it had any merit. There were numerous articles on the internet about it. Further the numbers "3" & "6" could also carry similar chemicals. So once again I had to check the number on each and every plastic dish in the house. I only found number "2" & "5" and some didn't have a number. I think I may throw those out just to be safe. Anyhow the articles say that numerous baby bottles and sippy cups have the chemical BPA. Could it get any scarier? Canada has already banned this type of plastic and the U.S. is sure to follow.

I was just talking to my husband about this! So scary! They say you should store your food in the refridgerator in glass containers. There is so much stuff now you can't trust anything! By the way I love your blog:)

Eeeekkkk! I have been hearing a bit about that as well. I have (luckily) been storing my warm food in glass for a while now because of that. I also use an aluminum water bottle. (It can be inconvenient but I feel better!)
